Redemtech Positioned as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for North America ITAD
Redemtech has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders quadrant of its 2011 Magic Quadrant for North America Information Technology Asset Disposition (ITAD). The report was compiled using extensive research and customer feedback, and is designed to help potential customers evaluate service providers.
This report “assesses the North American ITAD marketplace and the capabilities of its leading vendors” and “represents the first revision of Gartner’s initial (2010) coverage of this industry segment.”
Gartner points out that, with the IT asset disposition sector “rapidly evolving to accommodate dynamic requirements or user organizations, from the rise of the mobile workforce and its concomitant growth in mobile devices; to the on-site data sanitization driven by more stringent requirements for data security; to the growing influx of end-of-life systems driven by the accelerating migration to Windows 7,” organizations are now more focused than ever on “data security and the disposition of e-waste.” This, in turn, Gartner says, “is forcing IT asset managers to more closely evaluate their ITAD processes and providers.”
According to Gartner, vendors positioned in the Leader Quadrant are those “characterized by comprehensive sales organizations, financial stability, a clear and consistent commitment to the ITAD market, comprehensive customer support, broader service portfolios and greater market presence.” In addition, they also “register the highest scores on Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision” and tend to have a “wider geographical coverage through direct, owned and operated facilities, with special emphasis on North America.”
